I keep binder clips that are sold for office use in my kitchen. I use the small ones for closing saltine cracker sleeves and larger clips for potato ship bags, etc. These are not as wide and pretty as the plastic clips you can buy for the purpose of doing the same thing, but they are much cheaper. Plus they are much smaller. Also, if one gets misplaced just take another from the clip box.

We do the very same thing! They're also much stronger than the plastic ones.

LOL. Just when you think you have done something original! You know of course that someone is going to come along and find a way to market the same clips that we use and become filthy rich :(

Here's another use for binder clips. My husband came up with it just this week.

Use a medium to clip the rolled-up end of a toothpaste tube when it's about used up. That keeps you from have to re-squeeze each time.

I think I'll do a http://www.handyimp.blogspot.com/ blog piece on this.

I love the toothpaste tube idea. I read the hint and did it immediately.

Many thanks to your hubby. :D
