Scrapbooking/Card-making

Postby Vannielovesmovies on Mon Jun 23, 2008 11:01 am

I do not do actual scrapbooking but I use many of the products when I make greeting cards. A couple of weeks ago I ordered something from one of my WAHM forum members. She sells Creative Memories goodies.

I just received memorabilia pockets. They are heavy see-through cello packets for scrapbook pages but I will use them with greeting cards (they don't have to be handmade cards). The evelopes are different sizes and you can put money in them, paper or coin, depending on the size. One envelope is just perfect for a brand new silver dollar. Great for new baby. Mommy will probably save the card and the coin in the cello pocket :D

Really nice greeting cards are sooo expensive now. I no longer buy cards, I make them, even my congrats on your marriage cards. Anyone can do this. I use white pre-scored cards that come in a pad. This pad holds 5.5 x 8.5 stock and folds in half. You can use any sticker, but I find 3-d stickers to be the prettiest.

Painter Marjolein Bastin has gorgeous 3-d stickers and scrapbook materials that can be used on greeting cards. However, they can be very expensive unless you find them on sale. Hallmark has stickers that are almost as pretty as Bastin's for a couple of dollars. They are not 3-d but you can make lovely cards. Actually the are are kiddie and tween stickers called "stickeroni" Go here to see stickeroni's There are different categories and you get really lovely cello see-through stickers.
