I understand that Sex and the City: The Movie, I swear that is the title, will be opening throughout the USA May 30.

I was not familiar with the television show, because I don't have cable. It is now on regular television and may or may not have been sanitized for the uncabled folks. At any rate it is fun and spicy. I look forward to the episodes because I love the love that the 'girls' have for one another.

I am looking forward to seeing this movie on the big screen. And very happy to see that Chris North is back as Big. For the longest time I thought his name was something like Sam Big. My girl friend laughed and told me why he is called Big--hey! No cable! and they don't show the series in sequence. Embarassed

Hi Vannie:

I love Mr. Big....Chris Noth is sexy and great in that role. I, too, love the deep bonds these girls have for each other. That movie sounds super.

I still check out the re-runs now and then. The show always makes me laugh, and I adore Carrie's perspective, both as a writer and her take on life. Wish I were as bold as she. I guess, I'm a combo of Carrie and Charlotte.

I didn't see the show until it hit cable, either. But fell in love with it for the same reasons. The camaraderie is wonderful and the writing (I thought) was funny and clever.

Regarding sanitizing - what a shock it was when my husband bought the last season for me. Goodness, I had no idea! I never get tired of the reruns.

I just read the review you provided from Yahoo, Vannie. Interesting. I wish the girls would get back together on the small screen. I'm not sure you could force a sequel on to the big screen.

I have a funny feeling Charlotte would pass away. But rumor has it, it's Kim Cattrall (Samantha). I love Charlotte's life with Harry. I've always felt close to her. I understand her values and outlook on life.

Meantime...check out my article on the makeup tips from the London premiere of Sex and the City movie:

Joan,

I read your Blog entry. Very on target, Parker's hat was very chi, chi. Also she is media savvy, she is the one who received the most press.

About Mr. Big. I am really happy to hear other's feel the same about him. For a while I thought I was just being an horny corndog. Very Happy

Ha Ha....I have had a crush on Mr. Big, or Big, since he was on 'Law & Order.' There is something about him.....

By the way, I added up the cost of Ms. Sarah Jessica Parker's Dior makeup for that evening, and the total was about $150. My, my....I've never even tried Christian Dior cosmetics. Of course, I act like I have....lol..

I just read a few minutes ago that no one dies in the movie. They did create several "fake" scenes while filming and, well, that's all I know.

O.K. I plan to see IT today or tomorrow.

I just found this info that's dated May 8.

By JOCELYN NOVECK

NEW YORK, May 6, 2008 (AP Online delivered by Newstex) -- Early on in the new "Sex and the City" film -- and don't worry, we're not spoiling the plot here -- Carrie and longtime love Mr. Big are in bed together. A passionate interlude? Nah, they're just reading. Except they both need glasses, and there's only one pair.

Sharing reading glasses in bed? These two, who fogged up the small screen with their sexual chemistry during the TV series? Yes, and that small moment is a sweet acknowledgment that they've both aged.

As, of course, have we.

See whole story here Sex and the City. Jocelyn Noveck has written a great article. For some reason it made me a bit sad. Confused

Vannie - I can't wait to hear your review of it. I do love what Noth said at the end of the article about how life being truly interesting at any age.

I shall be waiting for the DVD, but love to hear all the little tidbits that are coming out. Want to be able to watch it in the luxury of a comfy sofa and be able to hit the pause button.

I have firmly decided to wait for the DVD. Knowing it might be a while, I went in search of the spoiler last week. Found one - but in the end, I couldn't bring myself to read it. Got a couple of paragraphs in and knew I didn't want to know any more! So silly, but I still want to hear opinions - and maybe little tiny leaks along the way!
