Grits Anyone?

Postby Vannielovesmovies on Sat Mar 29, 2008 8:08 am

As the child of the southern woman, I grew up eating and loving grits. I can eat them morning, noon and night. But I have found that I love couscous as much, maybe more than grits. Still, when I go away, seeing grits on the hotel menu puts a smile on my face.

Vannie - my husband loves grits and we both grew up with 'em. He'll have them for dinner 2-3 nights a week now, because they're healthy, too. I could never handle them, but couscous is a favorite, although I don't care for tabouli so much (again, my husband loves that, too!)

Grits - Yum

My favorite way to eat grits is with red eye gravy. Oh boy. There goes the healthy part, since red eye gravy is bascially country ham fat. So good though.

Great minds must think alike. I just now saw the grits talk, and I have an article on grits at Suite 101.
