Horton Hears A Who!

Postby Vannielovesmovies on Fri Mar 28, 2008 6:54 am

I believe that Horton Hears A Who is playing in my area. If it is I plan to see it one afternoon next week.

This time around Jim Carrey provides the voice of Horton. I think he was the perfect choice for this. In the 1970 television production actor Hans Conried was the voice of Horton and probabaly the one most that is identified with the character.

The gist of the story is that Horton a sweet courageous elephant withstands laughter and ridicule because believes in and protects the Who village. The Whos seem to be invisible, but actually, the are just very small. And according to kind-hearted Horton, "a person's a person, no matter how small". It has been a long time :? since I have a seen a repeat of the television show or read the book, but I think that's the way the story goes.

I think Jim Carrey is an excellent remake choice, too. This movie is going to be a treat for all ages, I bet.
