I discovered author Debbie Macomber last year. I have read A Good Yarn, The Shop on Blossom Street and just recently Susannah's Garden. I think of these as my lazy day novels, they are gentle and home-spun. Even the cover's are gentle water colors.

They are good uncomplicated reads.

While searching Amazon for a good cozy read, I came across an author who is new to me and was somehow found my way to a great site with cozy novel information, and cozy authors.

The Cozy Chicks books look like a lot of fun. I think cozies are still such a popular genre.

Today I am going back to Amazon and look for books, this time I will buy. It turns out to be a perfect time. I just received a nice Amazon assoc. certificate. Now I won't feel guilty because I have spent too much money on books.

Oh, life is good.

I also pre-ordered Corpse Pose: A Mantra for Murder Mystery by Diana Killian.

You may notice that the running theme seems to be crafts and cooking. This shows where my mind was or is these days. The odd thing is I don't always buy cozy novels when I shop IRL.

I recently finished reading MURDER IS BINDING by Lorna Barrett. This is the first of a new series titled, "A Booktown Mystery." The action takes place in New Hampshire in a small town that is coming to life again because of 'the new people' who bring in bookstores, bakeries, coffee shops, etc. Everyone is happy until someone steals a rare cookbook and kills the cookbook store owner.

The cover is perfect--old buildings, books, small store from gardens and a cat sitting near the lamp post. It has recipes too.
