Copycat Old El Paso Taco Seasoning mix

Want to make your own taco seasoning mix? This is our own copycat recipe and lets you control the amount of salt that goes in.

Taco Seasoning Mix

1 TBS flour
2 tsp chili powder
pinch salt
1 tsp paprika
pinch sugar (sweet 'n low works fine)
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp cumin
1/8 tsp oregano

Mix all ingredients (can make extra and store in container)
Cook 1 lb ground hamburger in a skillet until done.
Sprinkle the above mixture on top and stir in.
Add 3/4 cup water; let boil, then reduce to a simmer. Let it cook for another 10 minutes or so, stirring on occasion.
