Classic Movies

Postby Vannielovesmovies on Sat Apr 26, 2008 4:52 pm

I am not sure when they started being called classic movies, movie classics, etc. Before they had a title, I always called them old movies  I used to buy these old goodies for $4 and $5 in junk stores. Boy I miss that. A company in New Jersey used to tape old public domain movies and sell them--I am sure they still made a killing.

Some of my fave are the old black and white Sherlock Holmes movies. Nothing like watching them back to back on a rainy Saturday or Sunday.

I always think of "Rebecca" when it comes to old movies. Love 'em! Have to wait until my husband's gone for those.

Isn't it amazing that you forget they're in black & white after awhile? You just get drawn into the story and the acting.
